The circular industry model as a concept of rational use of resources and reducing negative impact on the environment has become increasingly popular over the last decade. Circularity can spur growth, reduce costs, and build resilience. At Walstead Central Europe we focus on the circular economy model in the area of energy consumption, which as is well known, is harmful to the environment and generates high costs.
What exactly do we do?
We use the energy excess created during the operation of compressors for other purposes in our enterprises.
How does it work?
A large part of the energy consumed by the compressor is converted into heat. Heat generated during air compression is recovered and then used in the heating of our plants and in the production process. Reduction of gas and energy costs is an added advantage over and above the mitigation of our carbon footprint.
Walsted follows the ‘3Rs’ of Reduce – Reuse – Recycle to continuously build a circular industry model through the effective use of resources and materials.

W ostatnich latach model cyrkularnego przemysłu jako koncept zrównoważonego użycia zasobów i redukcji szkodliwego wpływu na środowisko (GOZ) staje się coraz popularniejszy. Gospodarka obiegu zamkniętego motywuje biznes, świat do wzrostu, elastyczności produkcji i redukcji kosztów. W Walstead skupiamy się na rozwiązaniach obiegu zamkniętego w zrównoważonej konsumpcji energii – chcemy dzięki tej inicjatywie pozytywnie wpłynąć na środowisko oraz obniżyć koszty działalności operacyjnej.

Wykorzystujemy gorące powietrze wytwarzane podczas pracy kompresorów do innych celów w naszych zakładach.
Jak to działa?
Ogromna część energii elektrycznej zużywanej przez kompresory jest zamieniana na ciepło. Energia cieplna generowana podczas sprężania powietrza jest wykorzystywana do ogrzewania naszych zakładów. Dzięki wdrożonym rozwiązaniom istotnie ograniczamy ślad węglowy całego przedsiębiorstwa. Walstead podąża za inicjatywą 3Rs oznaczającą „Redukuj-Użyj ponownie-Utylizuj”, aby nieustannie tworzyć model przemysłu cyrkularnego poprzez efektywne wykorzystanie zasobów i materiałów.
